As Public Service Commissioner, my commitment is to serve the public interest by ensuring that financially healthy electric, natural gas and telecommunications companies provide safe, reliable and quality utility services at reasonable rates for Alabamians.

I am the only Public Service Commission candidate who is State licensed in municipal utilities for the past 25 years. I believe it's time for a new face on the Public Service Commission. The taxpayers of Alabama elect the Commission to look out for their interests to ensure their rates are just and reasonable. I know from experience trying to meet payroll and the household expenses that just a slight rate increase in utilities makes a big difference in whether you'll be able to make ends meet.

As a business owner for the past 25 years, I have experienced the effects of the economic cycles and have had to make tough financial decisions that would affect the survival of my company. Starting a general contracting and development firm, Dunn Development Corporation, with only five hundred dollars and suffering through the highs and lows of owning a small business, it taught me to make sound financial decisions that enabled me to reach my goal of early retirement five years ago.
